Why subscribe?

In early 2024 I completed work on a 47,000-word study of 1 Corinthians. It was originally written as the lesson for a weekly men’s group, which I have had the privilege of leading over the past 18 years.

Some asked if I planned to publish it once our study ended. Though it could, and may one day end up as a book, I felt this medium offered an ideal format for sharing periodic reflections upon Paul’s extraordinary epistle.

Though the men and women of first-century Corinth existed in a culture that was uniquely different from ours, the reader soon discovers the timelessness of human nature and an astonishing array of sins and struggles common to all generations. Above all, Paul’s inspired words allow us to gain a more vivid understanding of the heart and mind of the God who inspired his writing in the first place.
